Exam format

TEF Canada Writing Test Format

The TEF Canada Writing section (expression écrite) lasts 60 minutes and has 2 official sections:

  • Section A: Continue a news article. 25 minutes. Minimum 80 words.
  • Section B: Express and justify a viewpoint. 35 minutes. Minimum 200 words.
